“May and October, the best-smelling months? I’ll make a case for December: evergreen, frost, wood smoke, cinnamon.”
― Lisa Kleypas

We may be meeting virtually again, but we have many ways to connect!
Read on to find out about our events happening in December. If you have any feedback or requests please let us know. We want to ensure everyone feels connected and supported during this time.

Today is Giving Tuesday. Consider making a financial donation to CYAN as we work hard to ensure young adults have a presence and positive impact in our community.
The demand for our services has outgrown our current capacity. To sustain our efforts, we are looking to raise $20000 in the next 6 months. Your donation can help us reach that goal and continue to build up Canmore’s young adult community.
We can take online donations through the Ralph Connor Church’s Canada Helps link – we are the 3rd fund you can choose. While the church is our fiscal trustee, all donations made out to CYAN with stay in the CYAN community. Thank you for your support!

This weekend join us for a virtual chat with some our municipal council members. Canmore’s Town Council is the legislative body that represents the citizens of Canmore. Our council provides leadership and establish policies and priorities for Canmore’s municipal government.
This is an event to talk about issues that young adults are facing in our community. While we never exclude anyone based on age, the conversation will be moderated to ensure our young adult voices are being heard.

You have the option to join in live on Wednesday’s from 7-8 pm via Facebook Live or take the class when it works with your schedule as we leave the classes up on the page. There is no link needed to participate, simply check out our Facebook page and the live stream will pop up. We will host in person classes once the government lifts the restrictions.

Nakiska welcomes you to enjoy the ski hill at a discounted rate for CYAN members. Bring your housemates, family and friends and refine your skiing skills! Learn how to last longer on skis, carve, or even just stop!
Lessons must sign up with minimum 2 people per booking, with 3 lesson times available.
COVID precautions are in place to ensure everyone’s safety. Click the photo to read about their rules and guidelines.

Please let us know if this is something we should put together for the community!
