The Canmore Young Adult Network (CYAN) is a youth organization dedicated to connecting young adults with each other and with local resources in our mountain community. We provide young adults with affordable social and networking opportunities to foster a sense of belonging and encourage active citizenship and amplify your voices to ensure that they are heard, respected and considered.
Behind the scenes, CYAN is run by a team of dedicated people and we think it’s time you get to know us, and us you!
On May 29 from 6-7pm, we invite all young adults to come out to artsPlace for an informative and entertaining “Who is CYAN?” event. Come enjoy some free pizza provided by some of Canmore’s best pizza places, meet your CYAN volunteers and learn about how we’re working to make Canmore a friendlier place for young adults — and how you can help!
We also encourage you to stay for a free screening of the critically-acclaimed movie, Love, Simon, a romantic comedy-drama about a closeted gay high school student and all the joy and pain that follows as he attempts to navigate family, friends, bullies, and of course, love. The movie will start at 7pm following the CYAN meet & greet and is free for all “Who is CYAN” attendees.
We can’t wait to meet you!
